Nexus Receptionist ("we," "us") provides an AI phone-answering service for small
businesses. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
Business account info: business name, hours, services, FAQs, owner
name/email, and password (stored as a salted hash — we never store or see your plain-text
password).
Caller information: when a customer calls, we may capture the phone
number, name, and message content they provide to the AI receptionist, so it can be relayed
to the business owner as a lead.
Calendar access: if a business connects Google Calendar, we access only
the availability and event data needed to check open slots and book appointments on the
calendar the owner explicitly connects.
Usage data: basic analytics such as page views and button clicks on our
landing page, used to understand how visitors use the site.
How we use information
To operate the AI receptionist: answering questions, capturing leads, and booking
appointments on a business's behalf.
To notify business owners by email when a new lead or message comes in.
To improve the product and diagnose issues.
What we don't do
We do not sell caller or business data to third parties. We do not use your Google
Calendar or Gmail access for anything beyond checking availability, booking appointments, and
sending the notification emails your account triggers.
Data retention
Business account data and captured leads are retained for as long as the account is
active. You can request deletion of your business account and its data at any time by
contacting us.
Third-party services
We use Google Calendar/Gmail APIs (when a business connects them) and a transactional
email provider to deliver notifications. These providers process data only as needed to
deliver the service.
